Adamas Dean Dr. Mahul Brahma becomes Fellow at UK’s Bath Spa University

Former Chief Editor Prof (Dr) Mahul Brahma has been appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow at UK’s prestigious Bath Spa University. Prof Brahma is Dean of School of Media and Communication at Adamas University in Kolkata.

According to Bath Spa University official communication: “The Fellowship of Prof Mahul Brahma provides a welcome opportunity to strengthen the academic partnership between Bath Spa University and Adamas University, and to explore further collaboration in teaching and research.

Prof Brahma will be based in the School of Art, Film and Media. Wider conversations with other Schools and research centres, based on the interdisciplinary nature of your scholarly interests, will form an important part of Prof Brahma’s Fellowship. We welcome Prof Brahma to the University.”

Prof Brahma is a TEDx Speaker, Luxury Commentator, Chief Editor, Columnist, and Author of six books -- The Mythic Value of Luxury, How to Communicate Strategically in Corporate World, Quarantined: Love in the time of Corona, and The Luxe Trilogy comprising Decoding Luxe, Dark Luxe and Luxe Inferno.

He has won several national-level awards as an author and communications leader such as SahityakoshSammanAward (2022), Author of the Year (2021), Crisis Communication Leader of the Year (2021), CSR Leader of the Year (2019), and Best Communication Strategist of the Year (2019). He was head of CSR, Corporate Communications, Branding, and Publications with a Tata group company.

He is a D.Litt and PhD and an alumnus of IIM Calcutta. MICA, St Xavier's College, and University of Cambridge Judge Business School. His first short film was screened at Cannes Film Festival.

He has also acted in Bengali feature films such as BarunbaburBandhu, HoytoManushNoi and a soon-to-be-released Aparajito. He loves to paint and is an avid golfer with a handicap of 11.
