S. Vaishnavi - Founder & CEO - FeminineJobs
Despite growing conversations around diversity and inclusion, many talented women and individuals from under-represented communities continue to face barriers in accessing meaningful career opportunities. While skills and potential should be the defining factors of professional success, social stereotypes and unconscious biases often stand in the way.
Determined to change this reality, S. Vaishnavi founded FeminineJobs in 2022 with a mission to bring women into the career limelight and create opportunities based on talent rather than categorisation. As the Founder and CEO, she has built the company around the principles of diversity, inclusion, equality, and mutual respect, supporting women also belonging to transgender, single mothers, LGBTQIA professionals, and other under-represented groups. Through FeminineJobs, she is helping organisations connect with skilled talent while supporting women and diverse candidates in securing meaningful career opportunities.
For S. Vaishnavi, entrepreneurship was never an accidental career choice. The aspiration to build her own venture had been with her since childhood, inspired by watching her late Grandfather manage his business with confidence and conviction. The turning point came during the COVID-19 period, when she transitioned from working for an organisation to establishing her own venture. What began as a childhood dream eventually led to the creation of FeminineJobs, a venture focused on supporting women and diversity hiring initiatives. She was motivated by her belief that women’s skills and capabilities deserve equal recognition and opportunities. Witnessing situations where women’s capabilities were overlooked motivated her to build a platform that would focus on skills, talent, and potential rather than social labels.
Today, FeminineJobs stands as a recruitment and leadership platform that actively supports women from all walks of life, including transgender individuals, acid attack survivors, single mothers, LGBTQIA individuals, and physically challenged candidates, helping them find meaningful and available employment opportunities and break free from societal stereotypes.
Like many entrepreneurs who begin with limited resources, Vaishnavi encountered significant challenges during the early stages of building FeminineJobs. Establishing a business from scratch required creativity, persistence, and a willingness to adopt unconventional solutions.
Without relying heavily on traditional recruitment infrastructure, she turned to social media networks and referrals to expand her reach while managing costs effectively. These strategies allowed her to continue building momentum despite operational and financial constraints. Her outlook toward challenges is rooted in continuous learning and adaptability. Rather than viewing competitors as threats, she sees opportunities to learn from others and strengthen her own capabilities.
Reflecting on the mindset that has guided her journey, she says, “My entrepreneurial compass is guided by a simple yet profound mantra, which is to believe in God, believe in yourself, and trust in your efforts.” Embracing challenges with the conviction that we can overcome them has been pivotal in my journey.”
This philosophy has become a defining characteristic of both her leadership style and the culture she seeks to promote through FeminineJobs, one that values resilience, collaboration, and constant improvement, promoting a strong support towards women empowerment.
FeminineJobs is a staffing and recruitment organisation dedicated to delivering end-to-end hiring solutions. Operating across India and serving international markets including the UK, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Dubai, the company provides comprehensive recruitment support tailored to client requirements.
As a solopreneur, Vaishnavi personally oversees multiple aspects of the recruitment lifecycle, from understanding client needs and negotiating requirements to onboarding candidates and ensuring successful placements. She focuses on understanding client requirements, industry expectations, organisational values, and workplace culture before identifying suitable talent. In addition to recruitment services, she also provides digital coaching on effective leadership and well-being. In her current role, she leads recruitment strategies across IT and non-IT sectors for UK and international markets. Through salary benchmarking, offer negotiation, and recruitment planning, she has contributed to improvements in client satisfaction while helping accelerate hiring closures.
For Vaishnavi, success goes beyond hiring outcomes that include–mutual respect, recognition, and employee well-being, which serve as an essential component of a stable work environment. One of the values that has remained constant throughout her journey is the importance of mutual respect and recognition. In her view, even small contributions deserve acknowledgement, as this helps strengthen employee retention and contributes to long-term organizational stability and a collaborative mindset amongst the team. Speaking about her definition of success, she says,
"I firmly believe in prioritising well-being, considering it to be highly crucial.”
Rather than focusing on longer work hours, she advocates creating a work environment that promotes mental peace and helps individuals feel a sense of oneness with the organisation. She believes that when employees feel valued and supported, they are able to focus better, develop greater interest in their work, and contribute more effectively to the growth of the company. This philosophy also influences her approach to leadership. Instead of closely monitoring employees, she believes leaders should inspire individuals, encourage independent thinking, and create opportunities for continuous learning and better decision-making.
When reflecting on her leadership journey, Vaishnavi identifies her contribution towards gender equality through recruitment as one of her most meaningful accomplishments. She shares, “A significant milestone in my professional journey with FeminineJobs is being a single mother to my pets, and as the Founder & CEO of my company, I have and am striving for gender equality. I have achieved a target of hiring a maximum of women of about 50% and, in general, for all, keeping a focus on skills and capability, rather than categorisation. My primary aim is to provide everyone, especially women also from any category, with a meaningful career to foster mutual learning.”
Her contributions have also earned several recognitions over the years. FeminineJobs was awarded the title of Best in Staffing and Effective Leadership Coaching at the Business Innovation Summit MSME in 2022. She was recognised among the Top 10 Women Leaders by Women Entrepreneur Magazine in both 2023 and 2024 and has received the Women in Leadership Award from SheInspire Magazine in May 2026. She is also a certified Naukri Maestro recruiter and has received two recognitions from the World Health Organization (WHO) for completing programmes related to nutrition and public health.
One of Vaishnavi’s current areas of focus is understanding how artificial intelligence and human capabilities can work together in the recruitment industry. Sharing her perspective, she says, “Embracing the AI Gen and understanding how a human touch could collaborate beyond AI, using compassion, empathy and critical thinking as a tool to survive in this changing industry trend and expectations.”
While she believes that organisations must adapt to changing technologies and industry trends, she also believes that human resources will continue to remain essential for organisational growth and continuity. As FeminineJobs continues its growth journey, S. Vaishnavi remains committed to her founding mission of empowering individuals through meaningful employment opportunities. By combining recruitment expertise with a deep commitment to diversity, inclusion, well-being, and leadership, she is helping create a future where talent is recognised for its true potential and where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Reflecting upon the lessons she learned during her own journey, Vaishnavi advises aspiring entrepreneurs to not expect instant positive results at the start.
She says, “Do not expect instant results at the start or that the result must always be positive, for any process can take its own time.”
Always try to understand the journey you are going through and how you can think and act to take the next step to reach success, even if you hold the feeling of being stuck in the middle of the sea.
Her message extends beyond entrepreneurship to personal growth and leadership. As she concludes, “Your identity is your precious gift. Make the best use of it to attain success by the grace of God, so that the impossible becomes possible to stand out in the limelight, offering yourself as a setting example to the existing and the upcoming generations. Supporting physical & mental wellbeing, diversity & inclusion and an effective leadership practice in the work environment is the cornerstone of collective success, where it helps to create a culture that values and empowers every individual to achieve success.”
