Hailing from a family deeply rooted in social causes and journalism, Nalini Singh is the daughter of H. D. Shourie, a prominent consumer rights activist. Her brothers, Deepak Shourie and Arun Shourie, both distinguished journalists, have further enriched the family's legacy in the field.

Nalini Singh has been a prominent face on Doordarshan, where she anchored various current affairs programs. Notably, her investigative journalism show, 'Aankhon Dekhi,' earned widespread acclaim for its in-depth coverage of pressing issues. Another feather in her cap is the show 'Hello Zindagi,' which she crafted for Doordarshan and broadcast in 1995.

Nalini Singh's familial connections extend beyond journalism; she is the daughter-in-law of Sir Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh, the former Governor of Uttar Pradesh and the first Indian Ambassador to Nepal.
