A Mechanical Engineering graduate, Umesh Malik began his career with Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he developed a strong understanding of manufacturing excellence, operational discipline, and process optimisation. To strengthen his strategic perspective, he later pursued postgraduate studies in Business Administration, enabling him to combine technical expertise with managerial insight.
Over the years, his association with the IPCL–Reliance ecosystem has been marked by impactful contributions across procurement operations, logistics management, materials planning, and contract administration. Working within large industrial environments, he successfully led initiatives that improved sourcing efficiency, optimised supply chains, strengthened governance frameworks, and enhanced cross-functional collaboration.
