Born to parents hailing from Pondicherry, India, Sylvain Soundaramourty, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of L’Atelier Design, grew up amidst the vibrant hues of France, making him a true confluence of cultures.
This fusion of influences has lent a kaleidoscopic brilliance to his design philosophy, inspiring awe-inspiring creations. Having spent his formative years in France, Sylvain’s creative prowess knows no bounds, backed by his master’s degrees in Property law and Urbanism and Interior designing.
Prior to his current role, he spent a decade serving as the Agency Director of FONCIA in Strasbourg, France, where he honed his leadership and management acumen.
The catalyst for Sylvain’s entry into the Interior Designing industry was a compelling fusion of personal passions and creative alacrity. From an early age, he held a boundless fascination with buildings and their designs that transcend time and space, and their profound impact on the environment and people’s lives.
As he matured, his sketches evolved into veritable masterpieces, visualising spaces like an architect of dreams. Sylvain’s artistry in Interior Design and architecture manifests in his profound desire to breathe life into dreams and create tangible spaces that capture the essence of life itself.
Drawn by an irresistible pull towards rediscovering his Indian heritage and his artistic inclination, Sylvain embarked on a transformative odyssey, leading to the creation of L’Atelier Design.

Occasional communication issues within the team also led to misunderstandings and project delays. Recognising the significance of fostering open dialogue and embracing constructive feedback, they cultivated a stronger and more cohesive team dynamic.
