Founded- Chai Chun established in 2015, is located, in Siliguri West Bengal, the heart of India’s Tea growing business.
The year 1870s marked the time when Okayti tea garden from Darjeeling was established. Okayti Tea Estate is also credited to have one of the oldest tea factories of the region dating back to the year 1888.
Chai Chun is a premium tea brand that I founded, specializing in sourcing and providing high-quality, organic teas from the pristine tea gardens of Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiris, Sikkim, Terai and Kangra in India.
While our very own Okayti Tea Estate produces some of the finest tea to this day. Our mission is to deliver a rich and authentic tea experience to our customers while promoting sustainable practices in the tea industry.
No matter their city or ethnicity, Indians love their tea! I have always been fascinated by the cultural significance of tea and wanted to bring authentic flavors and aromas of India’s tea estates to people’s morning cups. That’s how I founded Chai Chun, and Evergreen Tea Group, revolutionizing the way Indians consume tea.
Tea has always been close to my heart, with fond memories of tea time rituals at my ancestral home. Growing up in humble beginnings with my father as the sole breadwinner, I learned the value of hard work and the opportunities that tea presented.
Starting as a tea vendor at railway stations and bus stops in Bihar, I observed the transformative effect tea had on people’s moods and days. With a strong desire to learn more about tea and strengthen its connection with people, I ventured into the world of tea factories.
After dedicating years of hard work and dedication, I launched Chai Chun as my dream project—a boutique-style tea store offering over 165 blends from the finest tea gardens in India.
Today, Chai Chun is a celebration of India’s rich tea-drinking culture, and it gives me immense joy to bring this authentic tea experience to countless tea lovers.
