Dr. Amisha Qaenaat Anand - Robotics Engineer
Dr. Amisha Qaenaat Anand stands as a remarkable example of a woman who dares to dream fearlessly and turns those dreams into groundbreaking realities. Her life story is a powerful narrative of courage, optimism, and relentless determination—one that continues to inspire thousands across the nation. An extraordinary blend of beauty and intellect, she has always believed in paving her own path, even if it meant stepping away from what is considered conventional or mainstream. Her journey of self-introspection and passion-led exploration eventually led her to the futuristic world of robotics—an arena where she has carved her name with unparalleled distinction.
Fascinated by the human brain, which she calls the “powerhouse of the human body”, Dr. Amisha was driven by a deep desire to create innovations that could support and enhance neurological functions. Her academic journey is as impressive as her professional milestones. After earning her degree in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Westminster (U.K.), she pursued advanced studies at the Washington University Institute (U.S.), specialising in surgical education. Equipped with global exposure, she travelled to Japan to learn advanced robotic technologies, where she curated her own innovations by merging neuroscience with robotic intelligence.
Her surgical expertise and robotic innovations quickly gained recognition. Having successfully performed more than 30 surgeries pan-India, Dr. Amisha has demonstrated exceptional precision, skill, and compassion, qualities that earned her the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Bharat Ratna Samman 2024 in New Delhi. This accolade marked the beginning of a series of global recognitions celebrating her commitment to advancing neuromedical sciences.
She later represented India at the Dubai Expo among participants from 63 countries, where her innovation earned her the title of Best Global Innovator of the Year 2024. Continuing her journey, she was recognised as the Youth Icon of India 2025 by the Government of India. Most recently, in September 2025, she was honoured as the Best Neuro Robotic Champion at the Rising Bharat Summit 2025. In December 2025, she also completed a significant project in Singapore, opening new avenues for future collaboration between India and Singapore.
Driven by a mission to create meaningful change, Dr. Amisha envisions expanding opportunities that benefit patients both qualitatively and quantitatively. She believes that healthcare innovations must prioritise human-centric outcomes, compassion, and long-term empowerment. Beyond her achievements, she is also a strong advocate for balanced empowerment. In her words, “There is no need to be a pseudo feminist to feel powerful. Instead of downgrading any gender, we must uplift each other for a harmonious society—and that begins with respect.” According to her, true empowerment lies in knowing when to be strong and when to be gentle, emphasising that women possess an innate ability to nurture, multiply, and transform.
A firm believer in education, she urges every individual to gain deep knowledge in the field they are passionate about, as knowledge is the greatest tool for independence and self-worth. Being a spiritualist at heart, Dr. Amisha deeply resonates with the teaching, “There is only one caste—the caste of humanity; one religion—the religion of love; one language—the language of the heart; and one God who is omnipresent.”
With her groundbreaking contributions and unwavering spirit, Dr. Amisha Qaenaat Anand is truly an asset to the nation, bringing immense pride to India through her innovation, vision, and extraordinary achievements.
