After Serving 630+ Global Clients, PACIFIC Turns Its Sights on India

One of India’s largest engineered quartz exporters is bringing international-grade surfaces to the domestic market — backed by 1 million sq. ft. monthly capacity and next-generation Bretonstone technology

Bengaluru, India — For over a decade, PACIFIC has quietly built one of India’s most advanced surface manufacturing operations. With over 630 customers across global markets, 960+ skilled professionals, and a production footprint spanning 1.4 million sq. ft. of monthly capacity, the company has earned its reputation where standards are highest — in international export markets.

Now, under the leadership of CEO Varun Somani, PACIFIC is making a decisive move: bringing that same export-grade quality, precision, and design sophistication to Indian architects, designers, developers, and homeowners.

“Indian consumers today demand the same quality they see in luxury projects abroad. But until now, they’ve had to choose between imported surfaces at steep prices or domestic options that compromise on consistency and finish,” said Varun Somani, CEO of PACIFIC. “We’ve spent years perfecting our product for the world’s most demanding markets. India deserves exactly that standard — and we’re ready to deliver it.”

Built for the World. Now Available at Home.

PACIFIC’s manufacturing infrastructure, based at its facility in Hosur near Bengaluru, is anchored by advanced Bretonstone technology — the Italian-origin system considered the global gold standard for engineered quartz production. The company’s vertically integrated operations produce Super Jumbo slabs (137 x 79 inches) in 12 mm, 20 mm, and 30 mm thicknesses, with every slab engineered for heat resistance, stain resistance, scratch resistance, and certified anti-microbial and food-grade suitability.

This is not a new line created for the domestic market. These are the same slabs, produced on the same lines, held to the same tolerances, that PACIFIC ships to its most exacting international clients. The only thing that’s changed is the destination.

Why India, Why Now

India’s architectural and interior design market is in the middle of a generational shift. Premium residential projects, large-scale hospitality developments, and high-specification commercial spaces are driving unprecedented demand for surfaces that combine performance with design ambition.

PACIFIC’s domestic push is designed to meet this moment. The company’s product portfolio — spanning collections such as Vision Series, Kosmic, Nebula, Celestia, Luminara, and Aurora — ranges from refined monochromes to bold architectural veining patterns, all produced using robotics-driven surface design execution and digitally integrated Industry 4.0 manufacturing systems.

Of particular significance is KosmicLite, PACIFIC’s ultra-thin 12 mm engineered quartz solution. Lightweight yet structurally robust, KosmicLite opens up applications previously impractical for engineered stone — vertical cladding, custom furniture, and contemporary design installations — giving Indian architects and designers creative flexibility that was until now available only through expensive imports.

Scale That Backs the Promise

PACIFIC’s Hosur manufacturing facility is built for consistency at volume — a critical differentiator in a domestic market where supply reliability has historically been a challenge. The company operates high-speed automated production lines with a combined monthly output of 1 million sq. ft. of engineered quartz and 0.4 million sq. ft. of processed granite, supported by Chromia digital printing capabilities that enable custom surface designs at production scale.

“Scale without quality is just volume. What sets us apart is that we’ve industrialised precision,” added Somani. “Every slab that leaves our facility — whether it’s headed to an international distributor or an Indian architect’s project — meets the same specification. That’s the commitment.”

A Larger Ambition

PACIFIC’s entry into the Indian market is part of a broader strategic vision to redefine India’s presence in the global surface industry. Rooted in the country’s deep natural stone heritage and powered by next-generation manufacturing, the company aims to establish new benchmarks in mineral-engineered design — proving that world-class surfaces can be conceived, manufactured, and delivered from India, for India and beyond.
