With an illustrious professional journey spanning more than four and a half decades, Rajesh Khare has established himself as a distinguished name in civil engineering and infrastructure development. His career reflects technical excellence, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to nation-building through sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Rajesh Khare began his professional career in August 1978 as a Structural Design Engineer in the CPWD Circle Office, Allahabad. During the early phase of his career, he worked extensively on the design of framed structures and earthquake-resistant buildings, developing strong expertise in structural engineering and safe construction practices. This foundational experience shaped his future contributions to large-scale infrastructure development.
In 1983, he joined UP Jal Nigam, where he served with distinction for over three decades before retiring as Executive Engineer in February 2018. Throughout his tenure, he was actively involved in the planning, design, estimation, and execution of major public utility and civil engineering projects. His expertise covered load-bearing and framed structures, overhead water tanks, sewage treatment plants, water treatment facilities, sewerage systems, and water supply infrastructure.
One of the most significant milestones in his career was his contribution as Executive Engineer during the Mahakumbh Mela 2013, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings. He played a vital role in ensuring efficient water supply and sewerage management for millions of pilgrims and visitors. His outstanding planning, execution, and dedication to public welfare earned him appreciation for successfully managing critical operations under immense logistical pressure.
Beyond government service, Rajesh Khare also worked as Project Manager in a sister concern of UP Jal Nigam, where he supervised several landmark projects, including Bhadohi Vikas Bhawan, Collectorate buildings, stadiums, motels, guest houses, and urban and rural road networks across Sant Ravidas Nagar district. He is currently serving as a top-level executive at WAPCOS, Government of India, contributing to infrastructure and water management projects of national importance. In 2019, he joined PACSFED, Lucknow, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, as Chief Engineer. He also served as State Head for Uttarakhand with Elites India Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, gaining valuable experience in third-party inspection services.
Currently, Rajesh Khare remains professionally active as a consultant and structural designer for ISR Modular STP projects with Telemachus Pvt. Ltd. His work on wastewater treatment projects across Lucknow, Pratapgarh, Chhatarpur, New Delhi, and Junagadh reflects his continued commitment to sustainable engineering and environmental responsibility.
Academically equipped with a degree in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate specialisation in Structures, Rajesh Khare is also a Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) and holds the prestigious Chartered Engineer designation. Through his professionalism, technical expertise, and lifelong dedication, he continues to inspire aspiring engineers and contribute meaningfully to infrastructure development.
