Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company Mahindra has finally launched the much-awaited Thar 4X2 and revamped the variant line-up of the SUV.

The 2023 new Mahindra Thar 4X2 has been launched in India with a pocket-friendly price range of Rs 9.99 lakh.

The all-new Mahindra Thar 4X2 is available in 3 variants - AX (O) RWD-Diesel MT, LX RWD-Diesel MT and LX RWD-Petrol AT with petrol automatic and diesel manual powertrain options. The above 3 Thar variants range lies between Rs 9.99 Lakh to Rs 13.49 Lakh.

Specifications

The Mahindra Thar 4X2 gets a new 117 bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine that will make 117 hp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Thar also has a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor, generating 152 hp power and 320 Nm torque, which comes mated to a 6-speed torque-converter AT. On the other hand, there is also a 2.2-litre oil burner and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor mated to 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
