1. Understand your strengths and weaknesses

The first step that you need to take is to go through the syllabus for the SBI PO prelims exam and identify the topics that are your strong areas and the ones that are your weak areas.

Then, create a plan for studying for the next two weeks. Spend more time on the topics you are not confident about and less on the ones you are.

Focus more on arithmetic because it is an important part of the prelims examination. It is important to note that the level of the SBI PO prelims exam will be somewhere between easy to moderate.

Apart from the overall cutoff, you will also have to clear the sectional cutoffs to qualify for the Mains examination. That is why you cannot ignore any topic or section completely or else you won’t score well.

4. Work on your reading habits

Two sections of the Prelims exam will require you to read and understand the theory. For the English language section, you should develop the habit of reading regularly. This way, you will be able to understand the rules of grammar and know how to use them.

You will also have to work on improving your vocabulary and increasing the speed of reading to answer the Comprehension and Para jumbles tests without spending a lot of time on them.

Make sure that you have properly memorized all the formulas that you might have to use in the Quantitative Aptitude section. Practice them so that you are able to remember them during the exam.

For the Logical Reasoning section, you will need to know the steps that will solve the question. For the English Language section, you won’t be able to memorize all the grammar rules. But, they should be somewhere in your mind and you must be able to identify an error in a particular sentence.

7. Practice in a time-bound fashion

Memorizing all the information won’t be easy for you. However, it will be less difficult if you practice them side by side. Put aside any days that you can for practice because the only way you will be able to clear the prelims exam is through your ability to solve the questions.

Every day, practice for three to five hours. Start with the examples and then move to the questions of increased difficulty. While you are practising, remember that apart from accuracy, you also need speed. You will have 20 minutes to finish each of the sections. So, you will have to maintain a balance between accuracy and speed.

The more practice you do, the better you will get at solving questions. Make sure that you solve questions from previous years as well. This way, you will know the nature of questions that are asked in the paper and you can focus on those specific questions.
