Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's youngest son, Anant Ambani, is getting married to his fiance, Radhika Merchant. They got engaged in December 2022 and will be getting married in 2024.
On December 29, 2022, Radhika and Anant got engaged in an intimate ceremony at Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The Ambani Family hosted an engagement ceremony for them in January 2023 at Antilia, the Ambani residence in Mumbai.
Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations began on February 15, 2024, with a traditional Gujarati event called Lagan Lakhvanu. Anant and Radhika are reportedly set to officially marry on July 12, 2024, with pre-wedding festivities scheduled between March 1-3.
Radhika Merchant is the future daughter-in-law of Nita and Mukesh Ambani. She is engaged to Anant Ambani.
Radhika is a trained Indian classical dancer and serves on the board of directors of Encore Healthcare, a pharmaceutical company owned by her parents, Viren and Shaila Merchant. Her father, Viren Merchant, is the CEO of Encore Healthcare.
Radhika Merchant was born on December 18, 1994, in Mumbai and hails from Kutch, Gujarat. She attended Cathedral and John Connon School and Ecole Mondiale World School before earning an International Baccalaureate diploma from BD Somani International School. Radhika then pursued a bachelor’s degree in political science at New York University, graduating in 2017.
After completing her education, Radhika returned to India and undertook internships at consultant firms like India First Organization and Desai & Diwanji. She later joined Isprava, a Mumbai-based real estate company, as a junior sales manager. Isprava is supported by Nadir Godrej, Anand Piramal, and Dabur India’s Burman family. Radhika now serves as a director on the board of Encore Healthcare.
Aside from her career, Radhika is passionate about animal welfare, civil rights, economic empowerment, education, health, human rights, and social service.
Radhika is also a classical dancer who has undergone years of training in Bharatnatyam. Her first stage performance, called 'Arangetram', took place at Mumbai's Jio World Centre in June 2022. The event was attended by numerous actors and politicians.
Radhika's performance began with 'pushpanjali', invoking the deities, guru, and audience for blessings, followed by Ganesh Vandana and the traditional Allaripu, prayers for the success of the performance. These invocations were set to traditional ragas and rhythms of aadi tala.
