A brief overview of your company and the industry you operate in.

Navjivan was founded and established by Maharishi Dr. Amarnath Sood in 1923. A multifaceted individual, he assumed the roles of Saint, Scholar, and Scientist. Dr. Amarnath, the visionary behind Navjivan, dedicated himself to ceaseless research throughout his early twenties. Over the years, he amassed knowledge to systemise herbs and plants, mastering the art of transforming ordinary plants into life-saving drugs. He also demonstrated the significant utility of minerals in combating malignant diseases, unveiling the potential of previously unknown and untapped herbs, minerals, and wild plants in the deep tropical forests of India as saviours of human lives.

.

During that era, production persisted for a period, and the products were marketed in international countries. However, under the leadership of Paramjit Kumar, who was driven by a mission to heal humanity, the focus shifted towards individualised treatment. This involved determining the composition of medicines based on the age, height, weight, and gender of each patient.

The primary function of Navjivan Health Service has consistently been to diagnose ailments and administer treatment to patients worldwide. The treatment methodology has remained constant, eschewing mass production of medicines in favour of a policy that prioritises providing customised medicines to each individual patient based on their specific requirements.

We are rooted in Ayurveda, a venerable science of life that embraces a holistic approach to health and personalised medicine. Among the oldest medical systems, Ayurveda encompasses a multitude of medical concepts and hypotheses, constituting a rich heritage. Notably, Ayurveda exhibits a remarkable capacity to address chronic diseases, including cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and asthma—conditions often deemed untreatable by modern medicine.

I have been nurtured within the confines of a household beset by myriad familial intricacies, wherein the omnipresent forces of pressure and stress have perennially exerted their influence upon the fabric of my persona. The mantle of Chief Executive Officer at Navjivan was bestowed upon me at the tender age of 18, a juncture coincident with my secondary education.

Assuming the helm of this venerable institution in my formative years was a consequence precipitated by the untimely demise of my father. As the singular heir to his legacy, I willingly undertook the formidable responsibility of stewarding Navjivan. Its inception by my grandfather, Dr Amarnath Sood, in the year 1923, transpired during the epoch of British rule, a time when our medicinal heritage languished in the throes of oblivion.

Fortuitously born into a lineage of Scholars and scientists, I commenced my foray into the realms of herbs, plants, and medicines at the tender age of five. A meticulous observer, I discerned and assimilated every minutiae pertaining to herbs, minerals, and their myriad formulations. Witnessing the seminal contributions of my progenitors, I resolved to embark upon a mission to heal and eradicate maladies deemed incurable in this region. This resolve, embraced as a formidable challenge, persisted unwaveringly. My innate proclivity for herbs, minerals, and Ayurvedic medicines has metamorphosed into a virtuosity, a testament to the seamless fusion of aptitude and passion.
