PM Modi Unveils Special Rs 90 Coin
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently marked a significant milestone in India's financial history by releasing a special commemorative coin valued at Rs 90, celebrating the completion of 90 years of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). To honour this milestone, PM Modi unveiled a first-of-its-kind coin in India's currency history – a Rs 90 denomination coin made entirely of pure silver (99.9 per cent silver).

The coin weighs 40 grams, is made from 99.9 per cent pure silver, and boasts a striking design. On one side, it proudly displays the iconic RBI logo, symbolising the institution's authority and integrity. On the reverse side, the denomination 'Rs 90' is inscribed prominently, flanked by the bilingual inscription of 'India' in Hindi and English, signifying the nation's linguistic diversity and unity.
Furthermore, the upper perimeter of the coin features the phrase 'Reserve Bank of India' in Hindi, while the lower perimeter presents the same inscription in English. Below the logo, 'RBI @ 90' is elegantly etched, encapsulating the essence of this celebratory occasion.
While the face value of the coin is Rs 90, its premium value surpasses this nominal amount. Reports suggest that this exquisite collectable is estimated to be priced between Rs 5200 to 5500, reflecting its intrinsic value and rarity.
