Come 29th of this January, the lush green campus of The Institute of Management, Bangalore, is going to be abuzz with cheer and activity. With over 15 years of tradition behind it, the annual cultural festival of IIM Bangalore, Unmaad, is set to host more than 30,000 participants from all over the country.
The fest, sponsored by Van Heusen and in association with The Hindu, comes with the promise of bringing together a confluence of some of the most exciting events, competitions and performances.
There is something for everyone this Unmaad; be it Sur and Antakshari for music enthusiasts, Footloose for dance lovers or Curtain call and Nukkad Natak for theatre aficionados.
The highlight of the first day of the fest will be a performance by Metastasis, a leading rock band from London. The day will also see the best rock bands of the country battling it out in The B-School of Rock, the rock competition.
The evening of 30th of January will be one of fun and frolic with top models from different colleges walking the ramp at Haute Couture, the Fashion Show and some amazing dance performances at the final round of Genesis, the choreography competition.
Unmaad also has plenty to offer to the intellectuals and the artists as well with a range of quizzing, literary and fine arts events lined up.
Apart from the usual, a lot of interesting events have been planned to entertain the crowd such as a car display by Tata motors, a gaming arena by Star Poker and an experience zone by Dell Laptops. The third and final day will see the most befitting finale to the 3 day fest, the pro-show by none other than Sunidhi Chauhan!
