Teen Patti For Beginners

Teen Patti is a popular card game in India, often compared to western poker. It's a game of chance and skill played with a deck of 52 cards, and 3-6 players usually play it.

If you're a beginner and want to learn how to play Teen Patti online, here are some tips:

Understand the basics: In Teen Patti, each player is dealt three cards face down, and the objective is to have the best hand of three cards. The hands are ranked from highest to lowest, with the highest being a trio (three cards of the same rank) and the lowest being a high card.

Know the betting rules: Teen Patti is a betting game, so it's essential to understand it. Before the cards are dealt, each player places an ante (a small amount of money) into the pot. Once the cards are dealt, the betting begins.

Be strategic: Teen Patti is a game of skill and luck, so it's important to be strategic in your gameplay. This includes knowing when to fold, when to raise the bet, and when to bluff.

Practice, practice, practice: Like any game, the more you play Teen Patti, the better you'll become. Try playing with friends or family members to get the hang of the game and develop your skills.

Rules of Teen Patti

Teen Patti is a popular card game in India, typically played with 3-6 players. The objective of the game is to have the best hand of three cards, and the hands are ranked from highest to lowest.

Here are the basic rules of Teen Patti:

  • The game starts with each player placing an ante (a small amount of money) into the pot.

  • Each player is then dealt three cards, face down.

  • The player to the dealer's left starts the betting by either placing a bet or checking (which means they don't want to bet but want to stay in the game).

  • The betting then continues clockwise around the table, with each player having the option to bet, raise the bet, call (match the current bet), or fold (give up their hand and exit the game).

  • Once all the betting is complete, the players reveal their hands, and the player with the best hand wins the pot.

  • The hands are ranked in the following order, from highest to lowest:

  1. Trio (three cards of the same rank)

  2. Straight flush (three consecutive cards of the same suit)

  3. Straight (three successive cards, not all of the same suit)

  4. Flush (three cards of the same suit, not in sequence)

  5. Pair (two cards of the same rank)

  6. High card (the highest single card in hand)

  • In case of a tie, the player with the highest individual card in their hand wins.

  • If only one player remains in the game after all the others have folded, that player automatically wins the pot without revealing their hand.

  • The game continues with players taking turns dealing the cards and starting the betting rounds.

Teen Patti Hand Rankings

In Teen Patti, players are dealt three cards and compete to make the best possible hand. Here are the Teen Patti hand rankings, from highest to lowest:

  1. Trail/Trio: Three cards of the same rank, for example, three Aces or three Kings.

  2. Pure Sequence/Pure Run: Three consecutive cards of the same suit, for example, Ace, King, Queen of spades.

  3. Sequence/Run: Three consecutive cards, but not necessarily of the same suit, for example, Ace, King, Queen of different suits.

  4. Colour/Flush: Three cards of the same suit, but not in sequence.

  5. High Card: The highest card in a player's hand. The highest card wins if no player has any of the above hands.

It's important to note that in Teen Patti, the ranking of hands is slightly different from other card games like poker.

For example, in poker, a flush (five cards of the same suit) is higher than a straight (five consecutive cards), but in Teen Patti, a pure sequence (three consecutive cards of the same suit) is higher than a sequence (three consecutive cards of different suits).
